Animals and Pets Allowable at Canyon Weyr
At Canyon Weyr and the surrounding Holds there are several
allowances to the animals you may encounter or perhaps play.
Felines
~ These guys infest the plains, but some have been tamed from kittenhood. Ask the BoD if you have any questions about your
charcter having a feline.
Sport Dragons ~ These are throw backs
like Ruth. Too small to be a member of a fighting Wing and too large and intelligent to be considered a pet like firelizards.
Anne's Ruth lived at a Hold, so the place and purpose of a sport dragon at the Weyr will be up to the BoD and the owner of
the character and their dragon.
Firelizards ~ Firelizards are numerous on the southern continent, though not as numerous at Canyon Weyr
(and the surrounding area) as they are nearer the coastal regions. Permission from the BoD is required to have a firelizard
and the firelizard must be rp'd.
Canines ~ Canines (Earth's equivilent to dogs) are not common as the large felines that roam the ara tend
to hunt them.

All Holds and Cotholds
featured in Anne McCaffreys novels may be used as a reference, however Ruatha Hold is not to be referred to period. Please
refer to our Rules. Unlike most Weyr clubs, I would like to see some very active role playing at the Holds (and Halls).
Characters submitted for these locations will be approved more quickly than the Weyr.
